75-minute Shanghai train ready in July

The Wenhu Daily has reported that the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway will open in July. Currently, it takes 125 minutes to travel Shanghai-Nanjing, but the new trains (top speed 300km/ hour) will complete the journey in just 75 minutes. In addition, a high-speed line from Shanghai to Hangzhou is also slated to open, in time for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
The Wenhu Daily has reported that the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway is set to open in July. Currently, it takes 125 minutes to travel from Shanghai to Nanjing. However, the new trains (top speed 300km/ hour) will complete the journey in just 75 minutes.

In addition, a 251km rail link between Nangjing and Hangzhou is also under construction. When it's completed (in time for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, apparently) the trip from Nanjing to Hangzhou will only take 50 minutes.
