Nanjing's coolest wine bar's got a SE Asian feel (thanks to Singaporean owner JT) and features quality wines and good eats within a lovely courtyard atmosphere. If you have trouble finding it, check out this handy slideshow tutorial...

English: Take a taxi to Yunnan Bei Lu and Hunan Lu, walk past the Phoenix Garden Hotel, turn right on 50m of WenYun Lane, make your first left, and walk to the end of the lane, after which you will find the entrance to My Place to your left.

Chinese: 凤凰台大酒店后侧文云巷口50米右拐

JT's MyPlace is a unique pearl within the Nanjing restaurant scene. Singaporean-world cusine with an influence from Jamie Oliver served in an post-war building in a local neighbourhood. It's hard to find on the first time but once you're inside you'll love it.

Charming JT will do his best with his team to please you. A hideaway from the bustling streets outside

I am normally a regular at "My Place" but its been a while this time, about 2.5 months! Last friday I went to celebrate a friend's birthday and I must say I was impressed with the new wine list and the new menu list, which also suggests what wine goes with what dish! Sherry, one of the owners provided a complementary birthday cake and we also got a complementary starter! We all were really happy with our meals! We definetely can recommend the chicken-parmasan dish for 88rmb. One of my friends really enjoyed the salmon with honey-ginger sauce for 128rmb, she only added that there could have been more sauce with it but apart from that she was happy about that dish as well. All in all we had an amazing evening. The staff was nice and made us all feel really welcome. Keep up the good work JT and Sherry!

It's the best place in the city to bring a date (or your parents, visiting from out of town) for a civilized meal with a jazzy air, with a distinct Nanjing feeling.

This is one of a kind!
The ambiance is excellent, the service is meticulous, and the selection of excellent wines match very nicely with the foods.

To be honest, I've only looked at the menu once or twice. Usually, I just book ahead, tell JT what the situation of my meal is, and then let him surprise me.
