Last week, HN was invited to the Regalia Resort & Spa to check the place out and discuss possible collaboration. There, Patric and I met up with GM Simon, Communications Director Carey and the vivacious Esperanza, the Regalia's Group Director of Operations (aka CEO – 'Chief Entertainment Officer').

Paraphrased from the Regalia website: "It is the first Luxury city resort with international standard of service in Nanjing, on the banks of the majestic Qinhuai River. Regalia Resort & Spa brings new dimensions in luxury and leisure to this fabulous historical destination with its 37 suites in a classic yet contemporary style infused with local cultural influences.

Each of these classic suites have its own private Jacuzzi overlooking the romantic ambiance that Qinhuai riverbank provides."

Here's a shot of one of the choicest rooms, which comes with its own mini-swimming pool (meant for doing laps in).

Well first of all this is the story of teenagers, the state when they go through physical, mental, emotional and attitudinal change which will lead them towards their future. It's about Brandon Powell,Logan Watson and Kaitlyn Cox. It is about friendship, love, role of family and other person who are somehow responsible and for their role with teenagers. Being a teenager is a strange and yet exciting part of life. We are faced with tough and critical decisions each and every day- decisions that will affect our lives. Everyone goes through the teenage years, but as people get older, they seem to lose touch with their teenage experiences and feel as though they can't relate to anything that teenagers go through.

6 RMB penguins @ Hongshan Zoo

Mr. Epic

I'm not really a big fan of zoos. Many animals require thousands of kilometers of space to roam comfortably, but in zoos they are often forced to live in cramped cages.

This can result in a great many disorders: self-mutilation, incessant pacing, reproductive problems and so on.

No matter, last Sunday I needed out of the house and had no better option than to hopefully enjoy a walk in the trees while checking out some animals.

Big mistake. The Hongshan Zoo is the pits. Right at the entrance to the zoo there is a pond and a flamingo area. Other than those birds, it took me a good 20 minutes of walking before coming across my next animal.

Hot TVRecently, Jiangsu TV station began airing a dating program called You Are The One, or Fei Cheng Wu Rao (非诚勿扰) that has become very popular, even among Chinese students studying overseas, who watch it via the Internet.

The basic concept of the show is that 24 girls will stand in a line, each atop a podium with a light hanging over their head. Facing them is one boy, who will at first secretly choose one of the girls to be his date. Then, he reveals some basic information about himself, after which each of the girls will decide whether he is ‘date-worthy’ or not.

If a girl doesn’t like him, she will turn the light above her head off. If all 24 lights go off, the boy loses. If some lights remain on after the boy’s introduction, the boy may choose two or three of the girls for ‘future communication’. He also has the option in this case to choose a girl who turned her light off.

Finally, with three girls left, the boy will ask another round of questions, after which he will make his final choice. If the girl accepts, they may walk towards each other, join hands, and head off into the sunset for a future date and possible romance.

Hello, welcome to my Chinese pop culture blog. Every so often, I will write about a different type of popular culture that is hot at the moment.

For my first blog, I am would like to introduce to you to the reality-esque comedy WO JU [蜗居], which translates into English as ‘Dwelling Narrowness’.

The show, adapted from a novel, first aired on several channels in different cities every day, beginning in late 2008. In total there were 35 episodes.

Basically the show was about the difficulties young couples face when trying to buy a condo in the city.
