it could have been wilder, the girls were kinda out of tune and not the hottest. smilies/sad.gif

The food was nice, I loved the salads and the band was good as always and I liked hearing Rainnie (or Rainy) cause I've heard so much about her amazing singing voice and WOW it was true she can sing. smilies/smiley.gif

Wow. That's a change for Blue Marlin.
Although,I think anything is better than over-loud cover bands though and scantily clad chicks does the trick.

Will this be a regular thing or just a special performance for the opening night? I'm guessing the latter

Voice band rule. I sincerely hope they get rid of the girls doing all that crap on stage. That is not what Marlin is about. smilies/angry.gif

PS - There might be 2 bands in Blue Marlin in the fairly near future. 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs, with the band upstairs performing quietly in the background, so people can relax and chat as they do now without too much noise.

I like Voice band as well, plus they are cool people to boot.

My request for Blue Marlin: between band sets on the first floor, please refrain from playing techno at bass-busting volume – stick to mellow rock, set at a volume that allows conversation without shouting.

Thanks in advance!

the music inbetween sets is way too loud and I feel like I am in a club and not a nice bar where I can chillax with my friends

I don't mind the music between Rico's sets; I just hope Voice stay in Nanjing. The guys from Suzhou who usually replace them for 6 months are not in the same league.
