How to resize an Excel file? 2 years 11 months ago #19786

Hello All

I have got a problem with an excel file. It contains 1679 sheets of data and it should be around 500Kb large. But this file is 13Mb large. It takes a few minutes before it has saved and opened.I need to send out this file but now I couldn't. I have deleted more than 10,000 sheets but this won't reduce the size. I also tried to "select all" and "copy" it to another blank Excel ,however it wouldn't let me execute.

Attached is the screen capture of the Excel file, for your reference.

Does anybody there know what this problem would be and how to solve it.
Thanks a lot.

My solution:

check it out whether there are so many formulas. if so, and the formulas are not so important, convert them into value.
otherwise, remain the formulas, try some sort of file-compressing software, such as 7-zip(free software) to pack your excel file.

wish that could help.

Thank you for your help.
I have tried both before but seems these are not the right solutions:(
I have also saved the file as other formats ,however, still won't change anything.

This really bothers me a lot because I really need to send this file to my colleagues in Sweden.
